The Toronto Vascular Centre
The Toronto Vascular Centre (TVC) is an Independent Health Facility that is licenced through the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care by the Province of Ontario.
The TVC is a dedicated Vascular Imaging Centre that provides quality arterial and venous imaging studies. It has achieved continuous accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC), an international body created to acknowledge excellence in imaging studies, for over 15 years.
All technologists at the TVC are registered sonographers that have achieved RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) status. This ensures that all studies are performed by well-qualified personnel that are dedicated to excellence in their field.
The vascular studies performed at the TVC are interpreted by physicians who have achieved Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) status. This helps to maintain a high quality study and ensures the high quality imaging product that is required by our associated Vascular Surgeons in order to make definitive clinical decisions for the delivery of Vascular Care to our patients.
The TVC has ongoing quality assurance protocols that continually maintain or upgrade our imaging protocols.
The TVC provides a community resource for primary physicians as well as advanced imaging as required by cardiac and vascular surgeons for their pre-op and post-op patients.
All imaging equipment at the TVC is state-of -the art and is continually maintained and upgraded as required.
The TVC utilizes the Surgidex® Vascular Laboratory Reporting System as our PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). This provides clear and concise reports to our referring physicians.
